THOMAS KRAMER – Known as TK, he is the German–born mega developer of South Beach’s infamous luxury condominium towers. He operates at one speed only, TOP SPEED, all cylinders kicking, 24 hours a day. This reputed playboy bachelor knows how to make money, and he’s even better at spending it. TK claims to have simple taste, “I only like the best”. Clearly VH1 agreed. The network declared TK’s Star Island mansion the most exclusive (and expensive) party house in Miami during their “Fabulous Life” series. Joya Burda – This swiss boarding school educated 19-year old knows exactly what she wants, and refuses to take ‘no’ for an answer. Born in New York to German parents she is the only (known) child of TK, though she claims to be more like a mother to him. After deciding to take a break from Emerson in Boston, she will be attending university in Miami. Joya is looking forward to rekindling childhood friendships, enjoying all that Miami has to offer, and revamping her father’s volatile love-life. By day she studies journalism, and by night this remarkably passionate over-achiever is developing a concept for a web-distiributed fashion line, in conjunction with friends of her father who happen to be major players in the industry
Ariel Absera – Ariel is TK’s full-time apprentice, and also Joya’s boyfriend. This rare Jamaican Jew with a background in economics and finance provides direct support to TK in every facet of his affairs. He enjoys a very happy and active relationship with Joya, and serves as a communication channel between her and her father, which can stress the couple at times. But its one big happy family on Star Island, and ultimately everyone always feels compelled to ‘kiss and make up’.
Victor Brookisher – This stud is a devil with the boys of South Beach. He has been TK’s butler for the past seven years and has seen more far-fetched extravagance during that period than most people see in a lifetime. He works exclusively in TK’s home and caters to his domestic needs.
Alex Lacayo – TK’s advisor and confidential friend. Alex strongly believes that he is capable of converting Tk into the visionary man he once was, become a creator not a destroyer. He is charming, witty, funny with a sarcastic sense of humor. He brings the life to the party. Alex admires and loves Sunday bike rides, where TK and him discuss business. Alex sees Tk as his positive role-model, he believes if TK gave up alcohol that he is capable of one day loosing his weight.
